The Canton Historical Society is an independent, non-profit research organization and repository, holding hundreds of rare and artifacts and archives that are unique to the history of the town.
The Society uses its collection to serve members and visitors through programs, events, research requests and a museum.
Among the treasures that curators work to preserve are local papers dating back a hundred years, historic documents and artifacts, including several pieces of cooper produced by Paul Revere's foundry and photographs and lithographs of historical people and landmarks that have shaped the town's --and the country's--history.
