Located in a historical school building in the village of Newtonville, Cabot Elementary School is one of the larger public elementary schools in Newton. Cabot's philosophy is to create life-long learners and focus on the key ideas of students developing respect for themselves and fellow students, as well as committing to the school and community.
Lead by Principal Jim Swaim, teachers in professional learning communities work together to foster a high level of learning and students engage in service learning projects which benefit the school and community.
Cabot Elementary is a half mile from the Newtonville MBTA Commuter Rail stop. The #59 bus also stops nearby at the intersection of Walnut Street and Otis Street.
