The Buzzards Bay Rowing Club, founded in 2005, has grown from 50 members and one boat to over 100 members, 3 whaleboats, and 2 Concept II rowing machines. As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, they support their community through scholarships, donations to charities, and volunteering their boats and services.
In addition to their active involvement in races, including their own Open Water Challenge and Working Waterfront Race, the club offers open rows four times a week and welcomes individuals who enjoy other activities such as kayaking, biking, running, rowing other types of boats, and traveling. With a strong social aspect, the club members enjoy gathering for parties and sharing their love for rowing and good food.
