Brightside for Families and Children, founded in 1881, is a nonprofit child welfare, mental health and family support center offering services for children, adolescents and their parents. It offers various specialized programs, including Skillful Ways, Middle Path, Community Connections Treatment, Peace Walker and the Phoenix Treatment Program. The Campus School, operated by the center, is a chapter 766-approved private school divided into elementary, middle and high school levels. The school offers a prevocational and vocational evaluation programs to the students. Brightside for Families and Children provides a wide variety of amenities, such as recreational on- and off-campus activities, swimming pool, basketball courts, baseball diamond, athletic fields and regularly scheduled activities. It also offers outdoor adventure programming, including canoeing, hiking and backpacking, school and community sports teams participation and trips to the Basketball Hall of Fame for sponsored activities and events.
