Boston Public Schools owns and operates early learning centers, and elementary, middle and high schools throughout Massachusetts. The district operates more than 150 schools and has an enrollment of over 60,000 students. It offers education to students in grades kindergarten through 12, and its curriculum includes various subjects, such as reading and writing, English, arts, science, mathematics, health and physical education, consumer science, foreign languages, social studies and computers. The amenities offered by the district include library with Internet access, gymnasium, media center, study halls and playing fields. It also provides a variety of sports activities to students, including cross country, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, golf, soccer, tennis, track and field, baseball and softball. The district has its administrative office located in Boston.
