Tahanto Regional Middle and High School offers educational and extracurricular programs for children from grades six through 12. Tahanto utilizes an array of educational models, such as cooperative learning, debates, group discussions, inquiry and investigation, discovery, open-ended questions and student centered learning. The school s curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, phonics, physical education, history, geography, economics, music and arts and crafts. Located in Boylston, Mass., it has a fully equipped library and computer laboratory. Tahanto offers a number of interscholastic sports, such as girl s and boy s basketball, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, badminton, swimming, soccer and softball. Its extracurricular activities include knowledge bowl, family, career and community leaders of America organization, junior-senior banquet, senior trips, state fine arts and academic competitions, band and choir concerts and National Honor Society. Its language arts department offers a four-year sequential study of French and Spanish and advanced placement in biology, chemistry, calculus and the United States history.
