Beverly School for the Deaf, also known as BSD, has been in operation since 1876. It operates a variety of academic and enrichment programs. The school serves preschool and elementary, middle and high school students between the ages of 3 and 22 with hearing disabilities. It helps students in the development of communication skills. The school also helps students in the development of speaking, listening and lip-reading skills. Beverly School for the Deaf offers physical, occupational and speech therapies and audiological support and consulting services. The school offers treatment services for students with behavioral developmental disabilities. In addition, Beverly School for the Deaf administers various after-school and summer programs.
