History
Our roots go back to the year 1904-05 when Mabel Weaver built Peace Chapel at the corner of Springfield and Armory Streets in Springfield. It was an interdenominational work. Rev. A. B. Simpson, founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, dedicated it to the Lord's work. This early heritage destined the influence of the church around the world. The church has grown much since then and has gone through several building projects, settling in its current location in Agawam in 1984 after the church undertook a major building project to accommodate the people the Lord was bring to its ministry. More than a building, Bethany is a body of believers that care for one another and are passionate about God's work in the Pioneer Valley and around the world. The church has been closely involved in many missionary projects and is heavily invested in giving so that many more can experience the grace of God in Jesus!
