History
For twelve seasons co-Artistic Directors Joe Cacaci and Matthew Penn have worked together as Berkshire Playwrights Lab and made it the longest running theatre company in the Berkshires devoted exclusively to the development of the new play. Your continued support allows us to present new plays, as each one begins its journey into the public realm. This process is invaluable to writers as they see their plays realized in front of a fully participatory and sophisticated Berkshire audience. Our talkbacks are an important part of the process where the playwright hears directly from our audiences about their thoughts, feelings and questions regarding the new play.
