Berkshire County Network was established in 1996 to put a local presence to the face of dial-up in Berkshire County, Mass. Started as a computer business in 1984, Fred Menty set out to differentiate his services from the national providers by being available to the residents he served. BCN has established itself as a leader in Internet communications throughout the Berkshires, including Adams, Charlemont, Great Barrington, Lee, North Adams, Pittsfield and Williamstown, Mass. The company also has a presence throughout North America with more than 3,000 point of presence dial-up areas.
