Established in 1951, the Belmont Lions Club owns the former railroad station in Belmont Center. The group promotes its long standing vision programs through fundraisers such as the annual Christmas tree sale. The club meets on the first Wednesday of the month.

American Legion Post 39 is the Arlington outpost of the national organization. A private organization for veterans, the Legion dedicates itself to service charitable causes, such as youth programs and child welfare.
