History
Our market was established by a group of Belmont residents. In 2009, we formed a parent organization: the Belmont Food Collaborative. BFC is a 501(c)(3) organization, working on food, food education, food assistance, composting, and more. In 2011, we began offering food assistance, doubling the value of SNAP benefits (formerly Food Stamps). We added FMNP coupons to the match. In the first season of the pandemic, we matched over $11,000 for members of our community! We're now starting our 16th year. Come join us: Thursdays, June--October, 2--6:30 (6:00 in Oct). Belmont Center parking lot, 10 Claflin St, Belmont, Massachusetts.
