Beaver Brook Reservation is a 59-acre park made up of open fields, woodland and wetlands. The park includes bike paths that become cross country skiing tracks, playing fields, trails and a covered area for picnics. It was once the home of a stand of famous ancient oaks (the Waverly Oaks) and a 19th century fulling mill. The reservation is also home to wildlife, a cascading waterfall, long trails and streams that are part of the Charles River basin. The reservation is part of the state's Department of Conservation and Recreation.
