HistoryBarnhill pottery started as a small retail store and studio. In 1998 my beautiful post & beam studio and retail store was built on Barnhill Road adjacent to my house. The business has grown and prospered to the point of exhaustion. Currently the pottery is changing from a production studio to an artist pottery, this allows more time and exploration in each individual piece.SpecialtiesEvery finished piece from Barnhill Pottery in Chatham tells the story of its special creation, and no story sounds the same. Tucked away in the elbow of Cape Cod, Susan's studio brings sea inspiration together with thoughtful technique. Since mastering her trade in college, Susan has sculpted her pieces by hand -- guided by a radiant passion and the intention to share it. It is her goal to portray experience and create art that serves a purpose, both functionally and decoratively.
