The Town Clerk's office is located inside Framingham Town Hall (Memorial Building), in room 105. The Framingham Town Clerk is elected for a three-year term. The current Town Clerk is Valerie Mulvey, who can be contacted at vwm@framinghamma.gov. The office oversees town elections, and handles voter registration and absentee ballots for local, state and federal elections. This office issues certificates and licenses. Residents may pick up a copy of the annual report at this office, too. Framingham has a Town Meeting form of government. The Town Clerk is responsible for swearing in newly-elected Town Meeting members. (There can be 216 Town Meeting members.) The Town Clerk, in regards to Town Meeting, is also responsible for maintaining attendance records for Town Meeting members, and supplying town officers, board, and committees with a copy of Town Meeting votes that affect them.
