Located in the old post office building on Foster Street, ArcWorks Community Art Center is a hub for creativity in the Peabody area.
The center offers a wide variety of art classes, programs and opportunities for all who are interested, regardless of age, background or ability, so they can access and participate in the arts, gain creative confidence, and challenge barriers through integration and innovation.
The Art Gallery
The Art Gallery features monthly rotating exhibitions by local artists in a variety of media. Public opening receptions are free and open to the public and provide an opportunity to mingle with fellow art lovers, nosh on local eats and enjoy artistic demonstrations.

The ultimate in buying local, The Gallery Shop features handmade items by artisans from your backyard to Boston.
Classes
Try your hand or hone your skills, from the classical (painting, printing, pottery), to modern takes on the traditional (leatherworking, knitting, embroidery) to up-and-coming genres (recycling). Classes and workshops are tailored to different skills and age groups.
The Pottery Studio
Local ceramicist Peter Flister show you the ropes in the center's pottery studio, which consists of four wheels, two slab rollers, two kilns, and space for creating all things ceramic. Classes are held quarterly, or join Peter during gallery openings for a demonstration.
Events
Consort with the creative crowd at monthly events, from Stitch Club on the first Wednesday of the month, to Potluck on the second Thursday of the month. Artists, crafters, writers, dancers, musicians, culinary wizards and culture enthusiasts unite in a friendly and informal environment to skill share, supply swap, and show-and-tell.
Private Parties
A memorable venue for private occasions from birthday parties to company outings, the gallery space provides a cheerful setting and classes and workshops make for unique function activities.
