Wilson's Auto Body has been serving car and truck owners in Baltimore since 1964. Hard to imagine being in business for that long, but we have been. Wilsons Auto Body History In 1978, Frank Bohdal III started sweeping Wilson's Auto Body shop at the young age of 14 years old. Frankie, as his friends call him, moved quickly to working on cars; sanding taping and prepping the vehicles for paint. Still at the age of 14 Frankie, continued to learn the art of automobile bodywork and metal welding. Richard Wilson, the original owner of Wilson's Auto Body, was like a second father to Frankie and referred to him as son. All the people in the neighborhood and customers came to know Frankie as "Little Wilson". By the time Frankie was 16, he went to Vocational High School for Auto Body and ended up teaching the class! Many of the customers that Frankie did work for at the age of 16 are still customers today and they have passed down the tradition to family members who now bring their Cars to Wilson's Auto Body for work. Interestingly enough, Wilson's Auto Body originally started as a custom corvette shop, but quickly branched out into all other makes and models of cars.
