History
The SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County (PGSPCA) has been helping local animals since for more than 40 years. We run an active cat and dog adoption program, provide humane education, assist with animal cruelty and neglect reports, and in 2001 opened the county's first low-cost spay/neuter clinic, where we still offer spay/neuter and shots at specially scheduled events.
Specialties
Low-cost shots on a walk-in basis, usually 1-3pm on the First Sunday of most months. (Check our online calendar at www.pgspca.org/events.) Rabies and distemper $10 each, microchips $25. ~~ OR, make an appointment for low-cost spay/neuter ($45 for cats/$100 for dogs). Surgery is free for qualifying county residents.
