Water Environment Federation, also known as WEF, is a nonprofit technical and educational organization with more than 32,000 individual members and over 80 affiliated member associations. Founded in 1928, the organization tracks, monitors and actively comments on legislations that impact clean water issues. It offers various technical conferences, certification programs, local and regional regulatory activities and educational programs to its members. The organization also conducts workshops on animal agriculture and processing, technology and industrial wastes. Additionally, Water Environment Federation conducts several water management projects.
