Treat yourself to a trip to this registered alpaca breeding farm, breeding rare Suri alpacas from Peru. These gentle creatures are very playful and their coats are silky soft. In the fiber treasures store, you can purchase hand-dyed yarns made from their fleece, as well as raw fleece for spinning into yarn; the hand-spun yarn feels much like silk. Winter coats and other items are also for sale. (Alpacas are not harmed to gather their fleece.) Ranchers Patti and Alan Anderson also have Suri alpacas for sale, and are happy to mentor novice breeders.
