Rockville United Methodist Church has adult, youth and outreach programs along with a day school to go with their regular services of sound biblical teaching and inspiring music. Classes offered include study in fellowship, Christian family living and bible. Other group activities include group participation on diet and healthy living.
The church is located on west Montgomery Avenue, a couple of blocks from Rockville Town Square. And its within easy walking distance from the Rockville Metro Station.
Locally, the church outreach programs support Chase House and Montgomery Avenue Women's Center. Other outreach activities include a prison ministry and partnership with a local elementary school to help children learn to read and acquire new equipment.
Internationally, the church works with Nicaragua and Poland missionaries. Church members also help with international disaster relief efforts to rebuild churches in Poland, Russia and Eastern Europe.
The New Day Preschool was started by the church in 1968 with a focus on teaching Christian principles. With this foundation, the school emphasizes physical, emotional cognitive and spiritual growth.
