Rockland United Methodist Church was founded in 1901 as Trinity United Evangelical Church of Jonestown. Its name changed in 1920 to Trinity Church of Rockland, and again in 1960 to Rockland United Methodist. The church encourages members to do volunteer work in the greater community. To that end, congregants host a monthly community prayer breakfast and worships monthly at the Ellicott City Health and Rehab Center. Rockland also offers a music ministry, and men's and women's prayer groups.
