The purpose of the Riverdale Park Farmers Market is to Help preserve the practice of farming in the local area and encourage more sustainable farming methods. Provide affordable local produce to residents of all incomes. Improve our residents' access to locally produced fruits, vegetables, and meats. Improve our residents' health through education, demonstrations, and diagnostic means. Improve our residents' self-confidence through the support of local artisans, common interests, and the encouragement of residents' abilities for the improvement of our community. Improve our local economy through the encouragement of supporting local crafters, food producers, and other local businesses. Provide a safe and fun gathering place for the bonding of residents to each other and with our community. Provide a means of raising money for a local non-profit farm focused on improving health outcomes in the Port Towns area.
