Established in 1964, Riderwood Elementary School is a learning center that offers a range of educational opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade five. Its curriculum includes language arts, reading, math, music, science, social studies and physical education. The school provides special education programs for students with learning disabilities. Riderwood Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 500 students. It maintains a library, gymnasium and cafeteria and over 20 classrooms. The school operates a parent-teacher association that serves as a resource for students, parents and staff members. A Blue Ribbon School in Baltimore County in Maryland, Riderwood Elementary School maintains science, math and geography clubs, as well organizes field trips. It is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools.
