Spark M Matsunaga Elementary School
Founded in 2001, Spark Matsunaga Elementary School is located in Germantown, Md. It is a part of the Northwest High School Cluster and is governed by the Montgomery County Public Schools District. The school offers its services for students in grades kindergarten through five with more than 1,000 students enrolled in it. It offers a wide range of subjects, including English, language arts, reading and writing skills, spelling and vocabulary, mathematics and computing, science, history, geography and health and physical education. The elementary school also organizes various social studies field trips to the airport, art gallery, bakery, bank, courthouse, embassy, farm, museum, fire department, historic park, hospital, library, recycling center, television studio and water treatment site. Spark Matsunaga Elementary School has a parent-teacher association offering support in fundraising, promoting the welfare of the children and organizing various events.
