When Bert Heiserman was 10 years old, his brother Norman bought him a 99 cent Wearever pen. Ever since, Bert has been collecting vintage pens. He opened the business with Lou Wofsky in 1989 while Bert was still working as an architect; now retired, Bert sells and restores vintage pens at the shop. He also sells modern pens (but does not repair them). In addition, Pen Haven carries inkwells, ink, ink remover, books about pens, desk sets and pen cases for home, office or travel. On average, Bert repairs about 50 pens a week and has collected over 800 pens.
