History
In 1986, residents of Scientists Cliffs in Port Republic, Maryland banded together to purchase a 436-acre wooded tract near the Chesapeake Bay to save it from development. Since then, ACLT has acquired additional land and partnered with the Dept. of Natural History and Nature Conservancy to manage 3400 acres surrounding the pristine Parkers Creek.

Free access to 22 miles of trails across a 3,400 acre preserve, guided canoe trips on the beautiful Parkers Creek, regenerative farming that benefits a local food pantry. ACLT is dedicated to land conservation and to the community.
