Chesapeake Interlink started in 1982 as a data processing service engaged in professional timesharing. In 1984, the company was approached by a group of personal injury attorneys in need of software to help run their firm. Chesapeake Interlink started designing and writing the programs necessary to create case management software specifically for the needs of personal injury law offices. The end result was Personal Injury Negligence System, the DOS software version. The software developed into Needles case management and can be used in any practice area. Needles case management software in used by more than 1,300 law firms.
