Levine School of Music
Levine School of Music, founded in 1976, is a community music school. It offers courses on music history and theory, composition, percussion, and choral and orchestral music. The school also provides training in playing various musical instruments, including brass, guitar, piano, keyboard and suzuki flute. Its strings classes include fundamentals, note reading, cannons, two-part melodies and progressive etudes. The school s facilities include an information center, performance space, theater and recording center. The school offers classes to children, youth and adults at campuses in Washington, Maryland and Virginia. Levine School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and its office is located in Arlington, Va.
