Helping Hands is a shelter for mothers and their children. The shelter is sponsored by Mount Calvary Baptist Church, which is located next door to the facility. Lincoln Park Community center is also directly next door to Helping Hands Shelter. The women who run the shelter are very friendly and always willing to help. The shelter can accommodate up to eight families or 24 individuals. The shelter uses a holistic approach that stresses community involvement and also provides workshops for residents.
