Founded in 1854, Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore offers a variety of educational, recreational, cultural and communal programs and services that promote and strengthen Jewish life and values. Its arts and culture department offers pottery, painting, dance and flower-arranging classes. The center s aquatics department offers adult swim lessons and aqua fitness classes. The center also offers summer camps that feature sports, drama and music activities. Its athletic activities include lacrosse, basketball, hockey, tennis and baseball. The center, with a location in Baltimore, also operates a facility in Owings Mills, Md. Additionally, the center provides social and recreational programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities.
