The Havre de Grace Police Department works to preserve peace and deter crime through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. It operates administration, patrol, criminal investigation and communication divisions. The department s traffic safety unit conducts programs that deal with seat belt and child safety seat usage. The Havre de Grace Police Department has K-9 and bike units, as well as maintains a narcotics task force. It also administers a crime prevention unit that offers presentations to school students on topics related to substance abuse, traffic safety and conflict resolution. The department is comprised of more than 30 sworn police officers, civilians and support personnel. The Havre de Grace Police Department is located in Havre de Grace, Md.
