Kate Taylor-Fine has been in the antique business for more than 20 years. Two years ago, she opened The Hope Chest in Kensington. She sells predominantly antique collectibles and vintage lace and linens. You can find a fine selection of antique christening gowns for babies, vintage baby linens and hand-knitted baby sweaters and booties from England. The antique collectibles, which are European, English and American, include spoons, thimbles, costume jewelry, pins, perfume bottles, cordial glasses, margarita glasses, sugar shakers, vanity sets and plates. Taylor-Fine selects many of the English antiques while she makes her annual visit to England. She can make arrangements to ship out of state.
