History
1958 - Then called Chesapeake Bowling Lanes, Charles Howard opened a 16 lane bowling center on Rt 50 in Easton. 1963 - Chesapeake Lanes relocated to a farm connected by a dirt road with 16 duck pin lanes and 8 ten pin lanes. In the late sixties neighboring buildings moved in. July of 1986- The building underwent a major renovation, becoming the fourth center in the nation to add Brunswick AS/80 automatic scorers, with new seating and 2000 ball returns. The name was changed to Chesapeake Bowl 2000. November 1988- Brunswick Anvilane synthetic bowling lanes were installed. 1995- Monday night bowler Ronald Todd became the first in the center's 37 year history to roll a 300 lanes 19 and 20. 2008 - For its 50-year anniversary, Will Howard and Alexey Ikonomou renovate the restaurant for a 50s look and renaming it Good Time Charlie's. April 2014- James Howard assumes ownership, becoming the third generation owner after his father William and his grandfather Charles.
