Founded in 1946, Dundalk Middle School offers a range of academic and extracurricular options to more than 400 students in grades six through eight. Its syllabus includes mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, physical education and music. The school conducts classes in art, Spanish and special education. It also offers Advancement via Individual Determination and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support programs. The school maintains a library and media center that stocks over 13,000 volumes. It serves the Dundalk and Turner Station and Watersedge and St. Helena communities. Dundalk Middle School operates a student council and chess and drama clubs, as well as organizes parent-teacher-student meetings. In addition, it is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools, which governs various educational institutions.
