Alan's Custom Lighting motto is "If it lights we'll fix it." Its specialty is parts, repairs, rewiring, conversion to American standards and restoration of all types of lights. This includes metal repair, polishing and glass replacement.
Alan Pechner, the owner, has 26 years of electrical construction, renovation and repair in New York City. Since moving to Montgomery County, he's worked for eight years as a preventative maintenance electrician and another 14 years as an electrical property assessment inspector for the Smithsonian Institute. Since then, Pechner started with decorators designing and installing residential lighting systems.
During all this time, Alan has been repairing and restoring light fixtures, chandeliers and table and floor lamps thoughout his career.
