Founded in 1971, St. Luke's House is an independent, nonprofit organization that offers a variety of housing and psychiatric rehabilitation solutions. It serves the children and youths of Montgomery County in Maryland. The organization provides several types of mental health, supported living, and life skills and vocational training programs. St. Luke's House also offers 24-hour crisis care services for youths with serious emotional disabilities. It assists clients in obtaining medical care, food, clothing and household necessities. In addition, the organization owns and operates more than 30 group homes and apartments in the county. St. Luke's House provides psychiatric care and treatment services for more than 800 youths and adults. It also operates McAuliffe Crisis House.
