Congregation Har Shalom is a progressive, egalitarian, participatory conservative Jewish congregation located in Potomac. Har Shalom first began in 1964, when a few dozen families used a portable ark and a borrowed Torah and practiced the faith in members' homes and school auditoriums. Now, more than 800 families attend Har Shalom. The congregation has daily services and offers active and diverse educational, social, religious, cultural and community-oriented programs for all ages.
