Columbia United Christian Church (CUCC) began in 1970 and welcomes everyone. CUCC is an "Open and Affirming/Just Peace congregation." Members believe that "each person is a minister of Christ's peace, love, healing and hope in the world, regardless of age, sex, race, sexual orientation or background." Communion is served weekly. Some of the outreach programs supported by Columbia United Christian Church include providing meals for homeless shelters, Earl's Place (a transitional house in Baltimore), Church World Service's Tools for Hope and Blanket Drive and the Church of the Brethren's Emergency Relief.
