The Center for Communication Programs, an initiative of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, partners with organizations worldwide to design and implement strategic communication programs relating to health issues. Its communication enhances access to information and the exchange of knowledge to improve health and health care, and influences political dialogue, collective action and individual behavior change. It conducts research to guide program design, evaluate impacts and advance knowledge and practice in health communication. With representatives in more than 30 countries, its scope has moved beyond health issues and addresses a variety of initiatives, including reproductive health, infectious diseases, violence against women, clean water, hygiene improvement, the environment, trafficking in women, and democracy and governance. It is located in Baltimore.
