History
Carmen Fontecilla is a long-time resident of the DC Metro area and an experienced real estate agent. Before embracing her passion for real estate, she worked in land development for 20 years. She has a Masters degree in structural engineering from Rice University in Houston, and she was a civil engineer at well-known DC area engineering firms for many years. She became a realtor only after discovering the satisfaction of helping people find their next homes. As a result of her unique blend of professional experiences, Carmen has amassed a valuable wealth of knowledge. She is able to explain building codes and local regulations to prospective buyers. She helps buyer read floor plans, understand square footage and visualize future property improvements such as pools, patios and decks. Ultimately, Carmen's background in land development - coupled with her experience in real estate - provides buyers the confidence to buy properties they like.
