Camp St. Charles is a children's camp located in Newburg, Md. The camp is sponsored by the Society of the Divine Savior, and is fully accredited by the American Camp Association. It is also licensed and certified by the state of Maryland and fulfills all health and safety requirements. Its campers are evaluated for swimming ability during the orientations and assigned a swimming level based upon the American Red Cross swimming program. All campers are scheduled with their team for games and activities at the pool. As a member of the National Archery Association of the United States, Camp St. Charles issues awards to the campers who meet NAAUS requirements. The camp offers various activities, including arts and crafts, riflery, archery, boating, and sports, such as softball, soccer, football, basketball, and volleyball. The camp offers paddleboats, rowboats, sailboats, canoes, and single-person playaks. Its waterfront activities are supervised by qualified personnel and include hydrosliding, fishing and crabbing.
