Bowie MMA was established in 2010 when BJJ Black Belt, Carlos Catania and Judo Black Belt, Charles Cherry decided to open a facility in Bowie, MD for martial arts and fitness enthusiasts.

At Bowie MMA we teach Cardio Kickboxing,the art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Submission Wrestling, Boxing, Muay Thai, and Krav Maga,in an atmosphere of non-violence, focusing on self defense & fitness. Our goal is to instruct our classes with zeal and passion.

HistoryThe Hillside Center started out in our basement with a few friends who were interested in training. We moved out of the basement in to a dedicated space. Before entering the center you must pass through a lovely Zen garden that sets the stage for your class. This peaceful state is the foundation of your practice.SpecialtiesWe are a center dedicated to teaching the benefits of traditional Qi Gong and Martial Arts practice. We stress a balance between physical, mental, and spiritual. To accomplish this the ancients have given us a treasure of a lifetime!
