A.M. Briggs services restaurants, hotels, country clubs and executive dining rooms with quality meats, game, poultry, seafood and provisions. The company is recognized as one of the finest "Center of the Plate" suppliers in the Washington, D.C., region. Albert M. Briggs founded the company in 1926. It employs more than 100 people and has nearly 25 refrigerated trucks that are used to deliver to approximately 750 customers. In December 2000, A.M. Briggs became part of the SYSCO family of companies. This move provided it with additional opportunities to grow the business and introduce A.M. Briggs quality products to a larger audience. A.M. Briggs service area includes Washington, D.C., plus Baltimore and its metropolitan area, Annapolis, Md., and as far south and west to include a number of northern Virginia cities, such as Warrenton, Manassas, Richmond and Williamsburg.
