In January 2015 Maddie opened 202strong, based on what she felt was missing from the fitness world; a safe, non-intimidating space for people of all fitness levels to learn how to lift a barbell and get a safe and effective workout. Two weeks later, 202strong North Bethesda was born and she quickly embarked on her journey of spreading her passion for fitness. Maddie continues to expand her facilities and programs hoping to make an even larger footprint in the fitness world.

The most effective blend of strength and circuit training 202strong is a boutique fitness studio specializing in the barbell. Find strength and empowerment through learning how to lift a barbell and watch your strength develop. Our LiftingCircuits are barbell focused, all guided by your expert coach. You will learn one lift each class and focus on the same four lifts for 6 weeks to see your strength improve. Our StrongCircuits are high intensity focused, differing every day so you never get bored. You will challenge yourself and your fitness in new ways. All classes are beginner friendly and every athlete receives individual attention. From competitive athlete to first time exerciser, you will greatly benefit from the barbell.
