History
Solo Italiano was started by a local Italian fishmonger after being connected with Paolo Laboa, a Genovese chef with 40 years in the kitchen preparing authentic Northern Italian cuisine. Now chef-owned (as of late 2018), Solo continues to cement its presence and legacy for handmade pasta and locally-sourced produce.

Our restaurant features Paolo Laboa, international chef from Genova, Italy. His menu consists of simple, flavorful and authentic Northern Italian cuisine. This includes handmade pasta, crudo (raw fish), fresh pizza and an all-Italian wine list. Ingredients are sourced locally, from various Maine farms and from the Gulf of Maine, whenever possible.
