History

The facility that is the MJSC today started out as a beachfront hotel almost 100 years ago. After being purchased by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1948, it became a Girls Catholic boarding High School. In 1978 it was transformed into the retreat center it is today.

I was going through a very hard time in my life a few years ago. I didn't even know this place existed. I had googled "spiritual retreats" and Marie Joseph Spiritual Center came up in the results....
