History
Owned and operated by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, this park was originally a pheasant farm, raising tens of thousands of birds for release statewide for hunting opportunities. Discontinued in the early 1980s, the facility was re-directed into becoming a wildlife and conservation education facility.
