Maine Public Broadcasting Network, founded in 1992, is an independently owned and operated nonprofit organization with office and studio locations in Bangor, Lewiston and Portland, Maine. Through its public radio, television broadcasting, and educational and Web services, it provides ideas, information and learning to children, teenagers, educators and adults. It also offers various programs and services that inform, educate and entertain the public. Its public radio broadcasts a variety of programs, including local, national and international events, weather information, sports news, and movie reviews. Maine Public Broadcasting Network serves New Brunswick, Canada, Maine, and parts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
