Established in 1983, The Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has served the greater Machias area for more than 30 years with over 200 members representing businesses and community members in Machias and along the Downeast Coast.

The Machias Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has served the greater Machias area for more than 30 years with over 200 members representing businesses and community members in Machias and along the Downeast Coast. Members are primarily businesses but the Chamber also represents a wide variety of service-based organizations, schools and colleges, as well as other non-profits. The Chamber also works cooperatively with other area chambers and the Downeast Acadia Regional Tourism board. The mission of the Machias Bay Chamber is to provide a network and collaboration between varied groups to raise the social, economic and cultural health of the area. The Chamber currently hosts the Wild Blueberry Festival in August, the Harvest Fair and Wine Tasting Festival in October,
